We are starting on the first Tuesday of November until Christmas, so if you still want to get on board just click here.

There will be some lovely Christmassy beverages as well with some natural gift ideas and ways to create a hygge ambiance for example, so don't miss out. ♡

But back to the steaming hot beverages - we need something to warm us these chilly days!

When feeling Nordic, I totally trust the Nordic spicy drink recipes for hot glogg.

Gloggs are mainly considered heavy with alcohol and called generally as mulled wines, but we do make and drink them a lot as alcohol-free versions too!

Whether made from cranberry, apple, elder flower or hibiscus the glogg is the ultimate warm and spicy beverage against the cold!

In our family we do not especially enjoy any alcohol so I have already for years made our glogg totally virgin. Like this white glogg made from apple juice.

Apple glögg, a white glogg, is a perfect choice if you don't prefer berry flavors and would like to have a lighter style of glogg. This recipe uses whole fennel seeds and cardamom and gets its light punch from the bitter lemon peel powder.

On the other hand, thanks to my Moroccan husband, I tend to trust the power of the sweet Moroccan Mint Tea and make ahead Moroccan Spiced Coffee Mix to store in the pantry.

Moroccan spiced coffee has a beautiful warm spice combination with some fennel, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, and black pepper to name a few.

You can read more about our cross-cultural home here. If you have also a family with mixed nationalities, send me an email back, I would love to know how your everyday life is going and what recipes you love. ♡

Another thing to prep ahead easily of is the Homemade Dark Hot Chocolate Mix for any kind of hot chocolate emergencies.

It is a beautiful gift as well!

I have gathered for you in the Beverages Category plenty of flavourful things to sip for any occasion. If you want to have more inspiration on hot ones, click on my Hot drinks for cold times Pinterest Board for find your ultimate cold time favorite.

Danish cranberry gløgg is made with unsweetened cranberry juice and flavored with Christmas spices such as cinnamon, cloves, and star anise.

If you’ve been craving a little change in your regular lattes or morning coffee, oh, I’ve got just the thing for you — a homemade blueberry simple syrup that brings a soft, Nordic note to your cup.

The dark hot chocolate is made from delicious dark chocolate and cocoa powder and it is the best choice to dunk some biscuits in too!

Hibiscus glogg is spiced with some cinnamon and cloves and a bit of ginger. The black currant juice is steeped with some hibiscus petals to get the tannin-like deep flavors.

Sweet Moroccan Mint tea is made with quality green tea, twigs of mint, and caster sugar. Adjust the sweetness to your liking and enjoy with some sweets or pastry.

Every day makes a difference ♡

Rooibos chai latte in a brown mug with cinnamon powder on the top and a cinnamon stick. Around smoe autumn leaves with all the colours.

Natural Lifestyle Letters Hi Reader, today as I promised you I am publishing my very favourite recipe! The spicy chai latte is one of my favourite autumn and wintertime beverages. I used to make it with black tea, but when my four-year-old daughter loooved it and wanted to sip it with me (basically every day), I preferred to dial down the caffeine that she would have from it. Using rooibos bush leaves instead of black tea gives earthy flavours to accompany spices like cinnamon and cardamom,...

A glass of Nordic Hibiscus glogg on a wooden serving baord with cinnamon sticks.

Natural Lifestyle Letters When it’s cold outside, Reader, nothing creates a cozier feeling than a warm homemade beverage that is warming your hands, body and soul. If you’d ask a Nordic what that beverage would be, well, 90% would say: “Glogg of course, it’s winter isn’t it?“ If you have never tasted glogg, it is a warm spiced juice that is often bit on the sweeter side. Many want their glogg stronger and mixing some red wine, calvados or even rum. Glogg is like a close friend of mulled wine...

A candle in the lantern in winter landscape.

Natural Lifestyle Letters Dear Reader, we are stepping into the slower season — the time of soft light, quiet evenings, and the simple comfort of home. 🤍 When the light fades, I always feel drawn to simplify life and focus on the small things that bring calm. The darker months can feel heavy, so I’ve learned to create an atmosphere that restores — not drains — my energy. That’s why keeping it cozy, Nordic hygge way, is the key during the dark time. It’s the kind of warmth that gently gives...
