Homemade blueberry iced latte

Reader, I don't know if we are having the last summer waves up here, but cooling with coffee is a joy (what ever the weather).

Last month I shared with you the homemade iced mint latte and we continue with the road of iced lattes today with yummy blueberry flavors!

I started first making iced lattes form scratch to avoid the random colorants, additives and all that unnecessary stuff that you can find from shop-bought syrups or iced coffees (plus a TON of sugar) when you make it at home, you can use more natural ingredients and the amount of syrup that you feel is right (don't go overboard, test and add more!๐Ÿคญ).

Here is what you need for a simple blueberry iced latte:

  • ๐Ÿซ Ice cubes
  • ๐Ÿซ 250 ml milk of your choice
  • ๐Ÿซ 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • ๐Ÿซ 1 shot of espresso
  • ๐Ÿซ 1 tsp cardamom (optional)
  • ๐Ÿซ 2-4 tsp blueberry simple syrup (that you can easily make from scratch too)

Brew the espresso.

Pour 3/4 of the blueberry syrup into the sides of a tall glass. Save a bit to drizzle on the top.

Add plenty of ice cubes.

Then pour slowly the milk on top, so as not to mix with the syrup too much.

Pour the espresso on the top with swirling moves.

Add more ice cubes if needed to fill the glass well, and finish the drink with a drizzle of the blueberry syrup on the top of the ice cubes.

If you want to garnish your iced latte, you can take a cocktail pick and slide some blueberries in a row to add a simple yet beautiful cherry (you know I mean blueberry ๐Ÿซ) on the top.

If you are into other ๐Ÿซ blueberry things, check out these recipes:

Every day makes a difference. โ™ก

PS. If you want to make your own homemade blueberry syrup, you'll find it and the step-by-step recipe within the iced blueberry latte recipe card.

Cozy blanket, a cup of steaming dark hot chocolate, a good book and yes - a freshly baked korvapuusti, a cinnamon roll, in the other hand. Also this year (like every year) at the traditional cafรฉ where I work, we have already yesterday piled...

A girl is grabbing one of the yummy-looking Danish cinnamon snails, kanelsnegle, on the serving board on a coffee table.

Reader, the next in our Nordic bun recipe series is the delicious Danish treat: Kanelsnegle, the Cinnamon Snails. These are quite similar in taste to Finnish Cinnamon buns but slightly simpler to shape. Use my go-to basic sugar bun dough for this one! Roll the dough out and mix the filling: 100 g soft butter (room temperature) 150 g caster sugar 1,5 tbsp ground cinnamon pinch of salt (if you are using unsalted butter) Mix together and spread on the outrolled dough. Roll it, but not too...
