Can you live naturally while traveling?

🌿 Natural Lifestyle Letters

Hi Reader, do you ever feel that you return home from a trip feeling like you needed another vacation to recover from the vacation?

I felt like that a few years ago, and we were joking about it with my husband. But the truth was that while we had fun, we came home exhausted. That made us pay attention to how we could travel in a way that felt more aligned with the natural lifestyle we enjoy at home.

Many times, when you leave for a vacation, and forget the habits that help you feel your best and end up spending more energy than you gain.

At home, you eat mostly whole foods, but during the trip you find yourself relying on takeout more often than you would like.

At home, you feel your best after enough sleep and daily movement, but on vacation your schedule becomes so full that rest is pushed aside.

At home, you try to reduce waste where practical, but while traveling, you find yourself throwing away single-use cups and packaging you would normally avoid leaving a tiny feeling of dissappointment.

The point of vacation is to enjoy, feel good, and discover new things, right?

But why do you feel, in random moments, that something is not right?

You might feel that you are temporarily living differently than you actually want to.

It’s because without any support and alignment with your values, your voyage might feel less fulfilling. Though the surroundings change, that does not change your values, nor do they need to change your lifestyle.

At home, living naturally might mean cooking from scratch, moving daily, and getting enough sleep.

While traveling, it might mean choosing fresh food from a market and filling your reusable bottle with orange juice.

Or it might mean hiking in the forest to regain energy from nature before the walk around the city.

The details and surroundings change, but the values stay the same. We just need to find ways to live more naturally when traveling without forgetting the values behind the things we love.

So what are your habits that are traveling with you on your next trip? Send me a quick message back; I would love to cheer you on and wish you a good journey!

A woman holding a vanilla matcha latte cup in her hands

@BlueTeaTile Hi Reader, You might recognise this feeling. Matcha and I, we didn't have a great start. To be honest, I didn't like it at all. The grassy flavour simply wasn't for me, and I couldn't understand why so many people loved it and what all the fuss was about. Then a friend and colleague of mine made matcha fudge for our booth at a Restaurant Day sale. To my surprise, I loved it! That made me realise that matcha, paired with vanilla and sweetness, is a whole other story than a plain...
